My first award ever!!!!

Happy New Year everybody!!! I wish you all the best. Well, I know I've been MIA for quite some time. Believe it or not I've just been working my little butt off. As some of you may have read in this post, work has been somewhat of a challenge (to put it lightly). But I'm taking a new approach this New Year damnit!! My business is going to thrive! I know what you're thinking; "umm, have you been watching the news lately?". Yes, yes, I know it won't be a piece of cake, but I'm determined!! Let's hope this new motivation lasts throughout the year.

I'm so tired of being broke. At this point the only thing I can afford is air. One of my best friends, who's also in the same line of business, is in the same boat. So when we get together, we have to find cheap resourceful things to do. Gone are the days at the spa, gone are the days we shopped at highend stores, gone are the days we ordered bottles of wine... tap water is just as good. Well, no actually it's not, but with my newly found postitive motivated approach, I have to tell myself it's allllll good.

Here's my 'Honest Scrap' award. In order to receive the award I have to do two things:

1) List 10 honest things about myself.
2) Pass it on to 7 people I feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Ten honest things about little 'ol me:

1. I can be a total biiiiiaaaach in the morning if someone talks to me right after I wake up. I need about 15 minutes of silence as I get ready for the day. I had a roommate who loved to have deep conversations after waking up. My contribution to those conversations went something like this, "uhuh...yup... mmm...right... can we have this life changing conversation in 20 minutes?" Please note that I'm this way with adults only. Kids have awakened me and they're too cute for me to be that way.
2. I have OCDish habits. I iron my sheets and all the contents of my fridge, pantry, kitchen/washroom cabinets must have labels facing me. That's about it... oh and I sometimes often iron my towels... but that's between you and I right?

3. I'm outgoing and talk a whole lot, sometimes at high volumes, and am always making people laugh (sometimes it's at me, but whatever). The truth, however, is that I'm very much an introvert.

4. I can convince people to do almost anything. I just need a little time and a whole lot of talking (not to be confused with nagging). This is probably why I make my living convincing people to do things.

5. I absolutely love kids. I'm the first to volunteer to babysit and change diapers. I know that one's odd, but I like changing diapers, which could be because I like cleaning. My friends with kids LOVE having me over... and here I thought it was because I was just so much fun.

6. I never want to win big in the lottery. I'd be happy just winning enough money to be comfortable but still work and live life like your average Joe... or Josephine.

7. I'm probably one of the most organized people in the world. My calendar is always up to date with little check marks beside what I've already done. I've even gone to some of my friends' houses to organize their lives, which I enjoy way too much.

8. I love my computer!! My mom used to call it my 'baby'. Since I haven't blessed with any real babies of my own, I might as well enjoy my computer.

9. Every time I get into a bad mood, I listen 80's music or watch an 80's movie. I think it gives me the comfort of my childhood.

10. I love going to museums and art galleries but I am one of the most creatively challenged people in the world. I can barely draw a house. I can recognize beauty in art but am completely incapable of creating it myself.
